Overnight Care
Care For Moms believes that when parents are given the opportunity to get a good night’s rest, they are in a better position to take care of themselves and their babies. Because there is no way for new parents to prepare themselves for the sleep deprivation they may experience after having a baby, our Overnight Caregivers could be the relief new parents need. You can only run on empty for so long. A full night sleep can be the rejuvenation you so desperately need when you have a little one.
Overnight Care is helpful to all parents, but especially those who do not have any close relatives nearby, those with multiples, those with demanding or stressful jobs, or for moms on bed rest following cesarean section. We encourage families to use our traditional services of care coupled with overnight care.
Each of our caregivers are interviewed extensively, background checked for any criminal record or credit issue, and personal references and past employment contacts are verified.
Care For Moms works with each family to create a schedule designed to meet their individual needs. We provide as little as one or two nights of overnight care or for longer durations as needed. Although, it is not required we recommend that our clients meet with an Overnight Caregiver for day service prior to our first night of care in order that we may provide the upmost service and comfort level to our clients.
Our Overnight Care Includes:
- Coverage for an 8 hour shift typically 10:00 pm -6:00 am
- Bottle feed baby OR
- Per mom’s preference/instructions handle breastfeeding requirements Diaper changes
- Clean and sterilize bottle and equipment
- Launder baby’s clothing
We ask the family to provide a cot or a place for our Overnight Caregivers, in or adjacent to the nursery, to rest while baby is asleep.
Our Overnight Caregivers are not permitted to bathe the baby, but may assist parents if requested. They are also not permitted to administer medications unless the parent gives signed permission indicating the medications to be administered.
